Blackwater Draw, located in eastern New Mexico in Roosevelt County, is the site of some of the oldest evidence of human activity in the Western Hemisphere. Around 9000 B.C. Paleo-Indians left traces of their presence, along with remains of the now extinct animals they hunted.
