Sandia Pueblo Grant
In 1748, Fray Miguel Melchor petitioned Governor Joaquin Codallos y Rabal to allow for the resettlement of Sandia pueblo with 350 Moqui people whom he had converted in northern Arizona. The request was approved and the pueblo was re-settled, the boundaries were established, and the people of Sandia were put in royal possession of their former land.
