One land, many hands
the land and the grant
the beginnings of the Sangre De Cristo Land Grant

This is the story of the Sangre De Cristo Land Grant in northern New Mexico, a tumultuous story of land, greed, politics, and community survival. Over the history of the grant, many people have helped shape its destiny.  This exhibit focuses on a few men who have helped in some way to shape the land’s story, and their partners in history, the community of people that carved from this land their homes and lives.
