Comments: In the mid-fifties my father purchased a property in Guachapanque (between Espanola and Santa Clara Pueblo) that had belonged to a Ms. True who had worked at Santa Clara Pueblo for years. In a back room of the house was a very large, and long, beam placed against the back wall. My father was told that it was from \"one of the original ferries used to cross the Rio Grande. I saw the beam a number of times but don\'t believe it still exist in the area.

Comments: Mike: I am researching ferry operations in New Mexico. I would love to correspond with you and find out any other information you have about this ferry and the people that ran it. I have information about a ferry in that area but not much. Please look at my website: www.southwestferryproject.com. Thanks Gary Cascio
