Texas; removed to Texas. 1856; began farming in Wood Co., Texas, 1859; sergeant Co. K, 5th Texas Cavalry, Sibley’s Brigade, Confederate Army. 1861-5; farmer Wood Co., 1865-74; Cook Co., 3874-3901; resided in Abilene. Texas, removed to New Mexico, locating in Texico, 9907. as speculator in real estate. etc.; deputy sheriff Wood Co., Texas, 1858; mem. 26th Texas Legislature 1895, serving in extra session, 1896; mem. Masons. (mem. since 1868): K. of P., Elks, Farmer’s Union.
